The principals of TGP worked with SNI during their tenure at George K. Baum Merchant Banc, LLC from 1999 through 2006. The SNI deal was a partnership with Ron Smith a staffing industry veteran with over 30 years of successful experience with Robert Half International and with his own company, Staffing Edge, Inc. The senior management team invested a significant amount of capital alongside the fund.
The investment strategy was to execute a buy and build strategy to acquire a number of staffing companies that met our criteria and enable Ron to implement his proven disciplined sales and marketing strategies to grow the business. In less than 2 year, the principals of TGP helped the company acquire nine staffing companies and the company achieved $50 million in revenue. Ron and his team were then able to execute their strategy and significantly grew the company to over $100 million in revenue by 2006.
