Lenexa, Kansas-based DaVinci Roofscapes, LLC (“DaVinci”) is a manufacturer and marketer of plastic synthetic shingles for the “high-end” residential housing and commercial building markets. The company’s current products mimic the appearance of authentic slate and wood-shake shingles.

DaVinci competes in the $6 billion “high-end” roofing market in the United States. Synthetic shingles are a fast growing segment of that market and DaVinci is well positioned to continue to grow over the long-term.

DaVinci represents a growth equity investment that the fund initially made in 2006.  The company has experienced significant growth since our investment and is poised to continue for the years to come.

The company’s CEO is Ray Rosewall, a tenured business executive whose experience includes being the CEO of Xantrex Technologies, Inc. and the former COO of Harman Industries, Inc., which was acquired by GE in 2000. Mr. Rosewall and the principals of TGP Investments had met through their time at George K. Baum Merchant Banc, LLC, and introduced him to the company’s founder prior to making the initial investment.

DaVinci is headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas.
